Freedom Air Services & Training is currently offering the following courses:

Student Pilot Permit

The first goal of every pilot in training is the Student Pilot permit.  This is the permit that allows you to log some solo flying time in order to complete the requirements for your main permit or license.  More information on this permit can be found here.
 

Recreational Pilot Permit

If your training goal is to fly for fun with the minimal investment, only in Canada, and with no more than one passenger at a time, this is the permit for you.  More information on this permit can be found here.



Private Pilot License

This is the foundational pilot license in Canada.  It is recognized internationally, and as such allows you to fly both inside and outside of Canada.  With a Private Pilot License, you can fly any single engine airplane and take multiple passengers along with you.  This license also allows for the addition of several ratings.  More information on this license can be found here

Commerical Pilot License

This license is the foundational license you will require if your goal is to fly for hire.  It is recognized internationally, and as such allows you to fly in Canada and around the world  More information on this license can be found here.



Night Rating

The Night Rating is an additional rating that permits the pilot to fly at night.  More information on this rating can be found here

VFR Over the Top Rating

The VFR Over the Top Rating is an additional rating that can be added to a Private Pilot License that permits the pilot to on top of cloud layers in accordance with CARS Section 602.116.  More information on this rating can be found here.



Mountain Checkout

There are few flights as scenic as flying through the mountains on a beautiful day.  However, in order to do so safely the are a number of things that you need to learn.  This course is very practical and you can choose where you would like to go!  Golden, Invermere, Vernon, Kelowna and more.  Please contact us for more information and to tailor your mountain adventure!

Tailwheel Checkout

If you have you recently purchase a tailwheel aircraft or are feeling a little rusty, you can sign up for our Tailwheel Checkout.  The average course completion time is between 10 and 15 hours of dual instruction.  Please contact us for more information.
